November 2022 Newsletter
This month I am focusing on the October 8 Total Lunar Eclipse which falls at close to 16 Taurus. As it occurs conjunct Uranus and square to Saturn it may act as a catalyst for events, conflicts and challenges symbolized by these major transits on both the personal and collective levels.

Mars stationed retrograde on October 31 AEDT.
Please refer back to my October Newsletter if you would like more information about this phenomenon but essentially Mars is challenging us to review:
I will revisit this next month when Mars opposes the Sun, the crisis / turning point in this cycle.
Total Lunar Eclipse at 16 Taurus on November 8
A very powerful lunar eclipse occurs on November 8 which will be visible anywhere it is dark. Most of the eastern areas of Australia will be able to watch this as long as the sky is free of cloud cover.
This eclipse echoes the themes from the last eclipse season in May this year. The May 1 [AEST] Solar Eclipse occurred at close to 10 Taurus while this lunar eclipse falls at 16 Taurus.
This eclipse suggests a pivotal time in both the transit of Uranus through Taurus [2018 to 2026] and the final challenges of the Uranus square to Saturn [2021 to 2022]. The eclipse energy is usually quite active at least 2 to 4 weeks before the actual eclipse so planets and points around this degree will already be activated. Eclipses tend to be neutral energetically, but they often bring to the surface whatever has been buried, hidden and repressed, especially regards the sign and house where the eclipse falls in the personal horoscope.
In the personal horoscope this eclipse highlights the house where 16 Taurus is located, especially as Uranus is transiting this area as well. If we use a 5-degree orb this means any planets and points between 11 and 21 degrees of fixed signs are being activated by this eclipse: this means planets & points in Taurus, Scorpio, Leo & Aquarius.
Th Lunar Eclipse forms a challenging T-square involving several planets. The eclipse Moon is in a very tight conjunction with Uranus, both at 16 degrees of Taurus, opposing a tight stellium composed of the Sun, Mercury and Venus in Scorpio …and Saturn squares them all.

This eclipse is putting the spotlight on the archetype of Taurus, highlighting our values, security issues and our relationship with the physical, material, and financial realms, as did the solar eclipse on May 1. This is a powerful time to reflect on our values and what constitutes our security, and it may be that there are insights that relate back to events from earlier this year
With Uranus, the Great Awakener and Principle of Change, conjunct the eclipse as it was around May 1, it suggests a major shift in values is necessary, personally and collectively. Taurus tends to value stability so it may be that we are reluctant to make the changes Uranus is asking of us in order to grow and become more authentic. If we resisted change earlier this year this eclipse may coincide with a willingness to let something go and move on.
Saturn forms the apex of a T-square with the Sun, Moon, Mercury and Venus, challenging us with a dose of reality - sometimes a harsh reality - in order to prompt us to act and take responsibility. Beware that this may activate our inner critics and negative self-talk, but if we can avoid falling into the pits of self-doubt and depression and ask ourselves what we need to learn here, the way ahead may be revealed. Saturn can bring up fears about making changes, especially around ‘getting it wrong’. There is quite a push-pull happening, especially for those of us who have planets close to 16 degrees of fixed signs.
This lunation triggers the Uranus Saturn square, as did the May 1 Solar Eclipse. On a personal level this transit symbolizes an inner conflict between the need to conform and act responsibly with the desire to break out, break free and individuate. Owning this energy could mean taking responsibility for our situation and being willing to face our fears around change. We may then feel compelled to make changes to outmoded internal and external life structures.
The shadow expression can lead to acting out, running away [Uranus] or blame, self-judgement and perhaps depression that may lead to paralysis due to the fear of failure, [Saturn]. We are being challenged to find ways to embrace change, let go our fear of the unknown and be willing to pioneer the creation of new life structures.
Lunar eclipses tend to be more emotional and internal than solar eclipses. They stir up whatever is simmering in our subconscious and are potent times for insight and illumination …once we get past the uncomfortable feelings. They can sometimes act as catalysts for major events and challenges that serve our soul’s growth, but our ego fears. It may feel that changes are being forced on us as they can sometimes challenge our resilience and flexibility.
