April 2022 Newsletter
This month I have focused on Jupiter’s conjunction with Neptune in Pisces that will perfect on April 13, Australian Eastern time, April 12 in the central and western parts of Australia, Europe and the Americas.
The themes associated with this conjunction have been present in the collective psyche since Jupiter joined Neptune in Pisces in May last year but this conjunction marks a peak in the emphasis on all things associated with the realm of Pisces in both its light and dark manifestations of this sign. At its highest expression this conjunction is a calling to hold an energy and vision of world peace and – if we can – not fall into the abyss of fear.
I will try to get the May newsletter out a bit early as the first solar eclipse for 2022 falls on May 1 AEST, April 31 in Europe and the USA. The eclipse is conjunct Uranus and will mark a pivotal time in the transit of Uranus through Taurus.
Sorry if this newsletter gets a bit disjointed and repetitive but I ran out of time to keep reworking it, but the essence of my messages are still here.
Blessings

Jupiter Conjunct Neptune
Jupiter will form an exact conjunction with Neptune on April 12 or 13, but the exact time on the east coast of Australia is 12.42 am on April 13. This conjunction marks the start of a new Jupiter Neptune cycle, the first in Pisces since 1856. It contains the imagery of the potential for enlightenment and spiritual awakening as well as the potential for mass delusion and confusion; two ends of the spectrum of Piscean experience.
Jupiter conjuncts Neptune every 13 years and this conjunction is often a key time in Neptune’s transit through a sign. Neptune spends about 14 years in each sign; therefore, Jupiter usually only catches up with Neptune once during this period. The imagery suggests that Jupiter [Principle of Expansion] may magnify and intensify the effects of Neptune’s transit through Pisces, highlighting all phenomena associated with Pisces; further intensified as Neptune is the modern ruler of Pisces and Jupiter is the traditional ruler.
The Jupiter Neptune Cycle talks of urge to transcend earthly limitations and expand our faith and view of what is possible. Under this influence we are called to envision our ideal society and life, but also to resist naive and inflated responses.
Neptune by transit seeks to dissolve and refine old patterns, structures and forms so something new can emerge. As part of this process Neptune can sensitize, idealize and romanticize our vision, sometimes to the extent that we can put on the rose-coloured glasses and only see what we want to see. There is also the danger of falling into denial, delusion, [self] deception, and eventual disappointment and cynicism.

There is also the danger of falling into denial, delusion, [self] deception, and eventual disappointment and cynicism.
nyone with planets and points close to 24 degrees of mutable signs [Pisces, Virgo, Gemini, Sagittarius and Gemini] will have this conjunction playing out strongly in their life, but the house where 24 Pisces falls in your personal horoscope will be highly sensitized by this transit, as you will be experiencing both the transit of Neptune and Jupiter through this area of your life experience. Neptune may have been transiting this house for some years [depending on your house cusps] as His transit through Pisces spans the years 2011 to 2025. Jupiter is moving in and out of Pisces over 2021 and 2022, but the conjunction marks a peak in this phenomenon, expanding and magnifying the transit of Neptune here.
I will now look at this conjunction from three levels of experience, but there is some overlap.
The Soul Level
At the soul level Jupiter amplifies Neptune’s transit through Pisces and invites us to:
… and the power of love and compassion.
The combination of these planets is visionary and expansive.
Jupiter is the traditional ruler of Pisces and Neptune is the modern ruler and both relate to our faith, idealism and the urge to transcend the limitations of everyday life.
At the soul level this transit reminds us of that ‘we are all one’. Neptune is the higher octave of Venus and is said to rule Divine Love, challenging and inspiring us to open our hearts and embrace a more compassionate and heart centered outlook, rather than giving into fear. Given the current state of the world this may be a big challenge and we need to forgive ourselves if we lapse into fear.
It reminds us to envision [or pray] for love and peace - if we are not in crisis – as are many of our citizens in the flood damaged areas and those who are suffering due to the war in Ukraine. The best thing we can do is hold an energy of hope and peace. Hopefully this conjunction will see an end to the suffering in Ukraine.
Neptune is the signature of the mystic, so some may find their intuitive and clairvoyant capacities are stimulated and feel a need for retreat, meditation, inner work, and vision quests to honour this awakening.
The Emotional & Psychological Level
Jupiter can magnify any emotional state - both positive and negative - and can be impulsive and over-confident - so we need to be aware that while Jupiter conjunct Neptune can magnify our creativity, dreams and intuition it can also magnify our illusions, delusions and escapist and addictive patterns.
Sensitive people may become hyper-sensitive at this time, and we may need to be careful to minimize stimulation, especially if we are prone to anxiety. The strong Piscean emphasis can sensitize any planet or house it transits; physically, emotionally, psychically and mentally. Emotional responses may be heightened [even exaggerated] and auto-immune responses may be triggered for those of us who suffer from allergies and intolerances.
We may need to make allowances for the fact that we are more energetically sensitive to our environment and become aware that that this has been part of our journey since Jupiter joined Neptune in Pisces in May last year, and it may continue through to the end of this year when Jupiter moves into Aries.
Pisces is associated with the empath archetype so this transit can heighten empathy and compassion but the danger here is getting lost in feeling the pain of those close to us as well as the pain of the world [there is plenty to take on at the moment]. If we get lost in our feelings we run the risk of falling into fear and activating the victim archetype and whatever negative and escapist patterns that we have including co-dependent patterns, escapist patterns & addictions of all kinds.
Other manifestations of the shadow side of Pisces that we need to beware of include apathy and cynicism; we may all need to work at maintaining our optimism and this may be found through connecting with like minded people through local and online communities and heart-based practices.
It may be time to slow down and take some time out to nurture yourself and to listen to your dreams and the whispers of your heart.
The Mundane Level of Events
On the collective level the combination of these two planets – Jupiter and Neptune – has been associated with
The current inflationary patterns in the global economy certainly fit this transit, as does the peak in numbers of covid cases. Computer viruses also come under this umbrella and cyber-attacks and warfare are now part of the new world order.
The immune systems of both sensitive individuals and our beloved Mother Earth are under threat from all the toxins in our environment, but this transit also suggests the potential for breakthroughs in healing these problems, both in conventional and alternative medicine.
Neptune / Pisces rules the following and its transit of Pisces may play out in any of the areas below in both constructive and destructive ways.
I will now look at this conjunction from three levels of experience, but there is some overlap.

- Emotional, mental and psychological level
- Mundane, more literal and material level of events
The Soul Level
