Both Jupiter and Chiron change signs this month - Jupiter to Leo and Chiron to Taurus – but this month I will talk about Chiron’s shift to Taurus and the lunations and leave Jupiter until next month. Chiron will be the only outer planet body in a yin sign and as he is very much a loner and maverick this feels very right. My sense is that Chiron is reminding us to honor our bodies, Nature and Mother Earth and find sustainable solutions to the energy, environmental and housing problems we face during this time of turbo charged change.
I will write something about Mercury retrograde cycle which begins on June 30 next month, but felt this newsletter was already getting too long.
Venus and Jupiter will conjunct in the evening sky this month and bring a little magic. Look west in the evening sky [if there is no cloud cover] to see the two benefics putting on a show. The exact conjunction will take place around June 10 but it’s visible now. The best time to view will be early evening [soon after dark] on the 9th and 10th of June. Maybe with the two benefics coming together we will see a peace settlement in the Middle East. Whatever happens, it is a magical sight and maybe an auspicious time to make a wish or say a prayer for peace!
Best wishes
Christine 🙏🏼

April sees all the planets in direct motion with Mercury stationing retrograde on June 30..

Chiron to Taurus
Chiron enters the sign of Taurus on June 20 but around September 18 it will retrograde back into Aries until April 2027 when it will settle in Taurus until 2033 to 2034. It feels like Chiron, as the lone outer body in a yin sign, is reminding us to honor all things of the earth - our physical bodies, Mother Earth and Nature - during this time of rapid change with all the other bodies in air and fire signs. It also feels fitting that he will be alone is there to remind us of the Earth’s need for attention as His story is very much about the loner and maverick.
Chiron has a very elliptical orbit of 49 to 50 years and is at its slowest in the sign of Aries. It takes on average 8.33 years to transit Aries while only an average of 1.66 years to transit Libra. Chiron was discovered in 1977 when Chiron was in Taurus, so we have a Chiron return next year, around June 8 2027 when Chiron gets back to its discovery degree. I will talk more about this next year.
Chiron represents the archetype of the Wounded Healer, and it symbolizes a part of the psyche that often feels different and unacceptable but is calling for acceptance and integration. Chiron challenges us to own these wounded and rejected parts of self and risk rejection in order to claim our wholeness. Chiron’s wounds can therefore become soul making as they challenge us to stand in our truth and own our differences and perceived imperfections: physically, emotionally, psychologically and spiritually. Chiron’s transits can be seen as an invitation to see the ‘bigger picture’ – to separate from the ‘tribe’ and be true to the Self – a call to individuate.
Chiron’s transit of Aries called us attend to the wounds we carry – personally and collectively - around the Aries archetype [freedom, identity, individuality ] and its transit coincided with the stress of the COVID lock-downs which took their toll on many lives …a wound to our freedom and autonomy that many are still reacting against. Chiron’s transit through Taurus will challenge us around the Taurus archetype, personally and collectively. On a personal level Taurus may mean the following will be highlighted:
On a collective level Taurus is associated with:
Chiron’s last transits of Taurus have all coincided with economic downturns: the Panic during 1876-1884, the Great Depression during Chiron’s 1926 to 1934 transit of Taurus and a Global recession that occurred during Chiron’s last transit of Taurus which occurred from 1976 1984. All of these periods of time had their own personal signatures of economic stress with the Great Depression having the most challenging transits. This time around the transits are not quite as difficult but still suggest a time of belt tightening which the current situation in the Middle East is exacerbating. Interestingly the last transit of Chiron in Taurus from 1976 to 1984 saw the Oil Crisis [a few years earlier in 1973] which led to recession caused by an oil embargo from the Arab world in response to US support for Israel during the Yom Kippur War which led to oil prices rising dramatically. This was followed in 1979 by the Iranian Revolution which also led to increases in oil prices. Amazing how history repeats!
Chiron in Taurus is also reminding us of our links to the earth, and nature. Due to the toxicity of the earth, air and waters of our planet, our global immune system is under stress. Clean energy is becoming a bigger issue along with climate change. During this time, we will hopefully see different forms of food production, storage as well as new forms of clean energy.
Housing is once more an issue and hopefully we will see new forms of sustainable housing that are affordable for much more of the population.
On personal level Chiron in Taurus is inviting us to pay attention to our bodies, our health and well-being. He calls us to listen to our bodies and pay attention to any stress we have been placing on them. We are invited to remember that our body’s symptoms can be messengers from our soul. It is time find ways to ground and protect ourselves, perhaps spending more time in nature and using natural remedies [herbs, energy healing, essences] and having somatic types of therapy that facilitate this process.
Chiron in Taurus is reminding us of the value in slowing down, attending to the future, being a steady energy in the midst of so much change and asking us what is sustainable for us personally and our planet?
New Moon Super Moon on June 15 at 24 Gemini
This New moon is the closest to earth in a series of new moon supermoons. Super Moons impact on the earth’s waters and can sometimes bring strong storms and flooding but anyone who identifies as lunar [sensitive] may be stimulated by this lunation so beware of reacting emotionally to stimuli.
The actual new moon is un-aspected by any planets but is sextile to Chiron. The sextile to Chiron brings the opportunity for insights and healing but with the Sun and Moon un-aspected it may bring up feelings of being unsupported or abandoned, especially for people [and nations] with planets and points close to 24 degrees of mutable signs. This may act as a catalyst for us to seek healing and acceptance.
Each year the Gemini New Moon suggests a busy time when our curiosity may be stimulated. It can create a more sociable and extroverted atmosphere where we may feel inclined to explore something new or just break out of our routine. The Gemini New Moon also highlights our thinking and communicating and can illuminate outmoded patterns that are ripe for change.

Full Moon of June 30 at 8 Capricorn
This full moon falls at close to 8 Capricorn and is squared by both Saturn and Neptune, bringing the issues that constellated around the time of the conjunction in February back for a reworking. We may therefore experience [Neptune] the dissolving of old structures [Saturn] and be called on to let go relationships, habits, jobs, attachments – and maybe our fears - to things from the past - and create new more realistic plans and dreams. This is an opportunity to build and imagine a new life and perhaps a new world. Be conscious of the tendency to anxiety this may produce and try to use it as a catalyst for constructive change.
All this will be particularly relevant in the houses where the full moon will occur [around 8 degrees of Capricorn] and the houses where Neptune and Saturn are transiting …basically the first half of Aries. This will be felt more by individuals who have planets close to 8 degrees of cardinal signs: Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn.
The annual Full Moon in Capricorn always activates the Cancer Capricorn polarity and invites reflection on how we balance these two energies and these areas of life experience. This suggests the need to review and re-balance home, family and private life with career and public life; nurturing, bonding and connection with authority and setting boundaries. The opportunity exists to see which polarity we may need to give more attention to.
Other, specifically Capricorn issues, that may arise could include concerns around our authority, responsibility, boundaries, insecurities, rejection and perhaps the activation of the inner [and outer] critic.
Capricorn’s challenge is to claim its authority in its chosen domain and develop its organizational and executive skills, but to do this in a way that is authoritative rather than authoritarian.

Winter Solstice: June 21 …in the Southern Hemisphere
This Solstice sees the reborn Sun square to Neptune [as it was for the last year 2 years. This suggests that there may be a collective fog around world events along with some confusion and possible dishonesty …something that seems rife at the moment across all political parties and governments.

The information below is reprinted from past years…
The Winter Solstice [in the Southern Hemisphere] or Cancer Ingress of the Sun marks the time of the longest nights and shortest days when the Sun is reborn from the darkness. The times of sunrise and sunset appear to stand still for two weeks before and after the peak time of June 21, and then the hours of day light begin to slowly lengthen. The Winter Solstice therefore symbolizes the rebirth of the solar principle as well as the light and the divine spark within us all. It marks the beginning of a new solar cycle and is time for those of us who live in the Southern Hemisphere to create our New Year Resolutions and reflect on what we want to achieve.
Astrologically the Solstice marks the moment of the Cancer Ingress; this is the moment when the Sun is overhead at the Tropic of Cancer and moves into the sign of Cancer. The four ingress charts [the solstices and equinoxes] mark the turning points in the seasonal cycle and the annual solar cycle. As such they are given added weight in astrology and are considered to influence the next quarter, or 3 months.
A Simple Solstice Ritual
The most traditional way to celebrate the Solstice is to rise early on the day of June 21 to observe and honour the sunrise. Ideally you will find a place where you can observe the horizon, free of buildings and welcome the Sun as He appears. Allow yourself to be filled with wonder and gratitude for His rebirth. As the Sun gains strength and power, feel yourself being blessed with His light and vitality and invoke the blessing of the Divine Masculine for the year ahead.
A special Solstice meal is another wonderful way to honour this energy. This is the time for roast dinners and a roaring fire where a special Yule log was burned to honour the Sun and bring his warmth and radiance into the home. If you don’t have a fire, then light gold candle to honour the Sun and invite his blessings into your life and home.
A more intimate ritual could also be called for…
Create a sacred space with candles, incense, meditation and intention. Tune into your inner guidance to find the seeds of new potentials that are stirring within your inner darkness. When you are ready, record the seeds in red or gold ink [as long as they do not seek to influence or harm any other individual] and then burn them in your fire or from your candle. As the paper burns, see your seeds flowering and your potentials manifesting as the fays grow longer and the Sun grows stronger. Give thanks and light your candle whenever you need to refresh your visions and intentions.
Blessed Be!
